Some love stories begin with fireworks. Ours began with a plate of murukku and a young man who could not stop going back for more.

Six years later, we are getting married, and a day like this would not feel whole without you in it. Come and stand with us in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, January 23, 2027. Let us look up from the happiest morning of our lives and find your faces there. Let us thank you, in person, for every way you have carried us to this moment.

Klang, 2020

It was a Deepavali open house in Klang, the kind of home where the door stays open and everyone is welcome. We were two people in a crowded house, neither of us looking for anything more than good company. The day, it turns out, had other plans for us.

The murukku

Priya's mother had made the murukku. Marcus tried one, and then another, and then kept quietly going back for more. He thought nobody had noticed. Somebody had.

The cook's daughter

At last, someone took him by the arm and introduced him to the cook's daughter. So that is how Priya first met Marcus: as the young man who could not get enough of her mother's murukku. As first impressions go, it has aged beautifully.

Six years later

Six years on, we are still saying yes to second helpings, and now we are saying yes to forever. Every chapter so far has had someone in it who loves us. That is why we want you beside us for the next one.

    The heart of the day, and the moment six years have been leading to. Stay close, because we want to look up and see you there.

    Wedding Lunch

    Then we sit down together at the table, which feels only right for two people who met over a plate of something delicious.

All we hope for is a hall full of the people who made us who we are, a morning glowing like brass, and you, close enough to hear us laugh.
